Trump’s administration deployed the National Guard, which caused further extensive protests, motorway blockages and demonstrations against policies against immigration.

The voltage in Los Angeles was escalated. In response to President Donald Trump’s decision, thousands of protesters have gone into the streets of the National Guard in the city who blocked one of the motorways and burned autonomous vehicles. Local security forces deployed tear gas, rubber projectiles and flash grenades to control the crowd. Informed AP, writes TASR.

Some police officers patrolled on the streets on horses, while others with a riot’s equipment equipment were listed as soldiers of the National Guard, which they deployed to protect federal buildings, including the retention center, where they placed part of the detainees of immigrants in recent days.

Protests against immigration laws

The precipitation took place on the third day of demonstrations against the intervention of Trump’s government against Los Angeles immigration. Sunday’s arrival of approximately 300 members of the National Guard has caused anger and concern for some residents, AP said.

The presence of Guard members encourages tensions in the city, California Governor Gavin News said in a letter to Trump on Sunday afternoon. He officially asked the President to dismiss the guard.

Allegations of breach of sovereignty

“We had no problem until Trump was involved in it. It is a serious violation of state sovereignty – the tension of tension and at the same time draining resources from places where they are really needed,” News said.

“In Los Angeles, we see the chaos that evokes (Trump’s administration),” said Mayor Karen Bass at a press conference. “This is about another agenda, not about public security.”

Trump claims that the posting of the National Guard was needed because Newsom and other Democrats failed to stop protests against immigration agents.

The National Guard is usually subordinate to the relevant governor. According to the New York Times, this is the first time in 60 years since the President took command of her command without the consent of the governor.
