This Sunday
The president canceled his presence at a gala dinner this Sunday (8) in Nice, France. The event had been confirmed by the government on Friday (6), but did not appear on the president’s official agenda. A government source heard by the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo attributed the changes to the possible tiredness for the full schedule in the visit of the Brazilian leader to France, which began on Wednesday (4).
Earlier, Lula participated in the Blue Economy and Finance Forum, an event focused on seeking resources to make activities such as fishing and maritime transport more sustainable. The event was attended by important figures, such as Prince Albert 2, French President Emmanuel Macron and Costa Rica President Rodrigo Chaves Robles.
After the event in Monaco, Lula went to Nice to the 3rd United Nations Conference on the Ocean (Unoc3). The petista also had lunch with António Costa, president of the European Council, to discuss the trade agreement between the European Union and Mercosur.
