A 59 -year -old man was arrested on Saturday (7) on suspicion of vulnerable rape in the food court of the Boulevard mall, in the Santa Efigenia neighborhood, located in the eastern region of Belo Horizonte (MG).
However, according to the Minas Gerais Civil Police (PCMG), he was released after giving testimony, in the absence of evidence and witnesses confirming the crime.
Also according to the corporation, the mother of the child involved in the case chose not to attend the police station to provide clarification.
An inquiry has been instituted and investigations go to the circumstances of the event.
In a statement, the mall reported that the security team was immediately triggered and welcomed the family.
The mall also stated that “repudiates all kinds of violence and is available to the authorities to contribute to investigations.”
