The Brazilian women’s coach, Arthur Elias, called on Monday (9) the players who will compete in this year’s Copa America, in Ecuador-and before, a friendly against France.
The list has Marta, 39, from Orlando Pride, and names of the new generation, such as Dudinha, 19, from São Paulo, and Jhonson, 19, from Corinthians, which shone in recent games. Eleven players work in Brazil, five, in the United States, and seven in Europe.
“This was the hardest list I’ve done since I got here, for so many athletes coming. But it’s a good headache. The call aims at the short -term result. Our goal is to win the Copa America. I see an extremely prepared group for our mission. And also a good future prospect for the World Cup in 2027,” said the coach.
In the three most recent games, Brazil has won the United States and twice Japan.
The duel with France will be on June 27 in Grenoble. After the friendly in France, the re -presentation will be on July 3, at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis, where training will take place until Ecuador boarding on the 10th.
Brazil’s debut in Copa America Group B will be on July 13 against Venezuela. The key also has Bolivia, Paraguay and Colombia.
