The mayor, said on Monday (9), that there is a risk of having called “disruption” between Congress and the government about measures to reduce the discharge of financial operations tax (). According to him, there was no commitment from the parliamentarians to approve the texts leaving the Planalto Palace.
“If Congress does not agree with many of the measures that the government will bring, there will be a mismatch and in 2, 3 months, we will be discussing what the decree will be, as it will come to increase tax, to compensate for spending,” said the deputy during a debate promoted by the newspapers Valor Econômico, Globo and Radio CBN with the theme “Agenda Brazil, the Brazilian Fiscal scenario”.
Motta stated that Finance Minister Fernando Haddad made a commitment to close the next quarter to evaluate IOF decree. “Either a debate is made to discuss what matters, the structural part, or we will be in this recurring debate.
