Sisters of 13 and 27 years are hospitalized with suspected poisoning at the Rio Branco Emergency Room. They sought medical attention early Sunday afternoon (8), after presenting symptoms that initially indicated food poisoning.

The young women admitted to Sobral’s Emergency Care Unit (UPA) around noon. During the medical evaluation, the team suspected poisoning and called the notification protocol. The case was immediately reported to the Civil Police and the Sanitary Surveillance, who now investigate what may have caused the sisters’ health problem.
To the ContilNetthe Acre Secretariat of Health (Sesacre) reported that the two were transferred to the Rio Branco Emergency Room (Huerb), where they remain hospitalized. Despite the severity of the suspicion, their health is considered stable.
So far, there is no official confirmation about what would have been ingested or possible involved in the case. The investigation is still underway.
