At the age of 86, a British writer, author of political bestsellers Frederick Forsyth, died after a short illness. Referring to his literary agent, AFP reported on Monday, TASR writes.
Forsyth has replaced several professions during his lifetime – served as a pilot of the British Royal Air Force, worked as Reuters newsletter in East Berlin and in Paris as a British BBC reporter in Africa. He also worked as an agent of the Mi6 secret service.

He wrote two dozen novels, of which approximately 70 million copies were sold worldwide. He was renowned worldwide by a political thriller Jackal about a professional rental rental. The themes of this book were also shot in the series in the role with Eddie Redmayn and Lahana Lynch.
In the Slovak translation Forsyth came out Novels of Odessa file, icon, Manhattan phantom, fourth protocol, devilish alternative, veteran, revenge, jackal, Afghan, cobra or list of death.
