The highest Slovak hockey competition will bear the name Tipsport League again from the new season. Tipsport after five years alternates in the position of general partner Tipos. It remains the titular partner of the Slovak hockey league.
Tipsport’s betting company won the official tender, which means that the competition will bear its name for five years. “We would like to be a strong partner and motivate people to come to the stadium. We celebrate the 20th anniversary and half of this period we support the highest Slovak competition,” said Martin Tabák, director of Tipsport SK at Monday press conference.
The Slovak Ice Hockey Association (SZĽH) enjoys the return of the old -new general partner. “I expect us to ensure financial stability for clubs. The philosophy is to make the league, the most attractive as possible. I believe that the teams will use many young players and help the future of Slovak hockey. They will bring up enough names that will be part of the national team. said the President of the SZĽH Miroslav Šatan.
The competition will have a new logo and visual identity. “The basis was that it was related to Tipsport and the identity worked for five years. We looked at the historical cross -section of the individual logs. There was a silhouette of a hockey player everywhere. We wondered what hockey could be unique and it could have a logo added value. We were looking for a visual element that means “spark”. If something is specific to the league, it is balance and everyone can become the winner. The slogan is ,the league where it lives‘. The symbol is a spark, which is the reason why I’m going to hockey, ” Pavol stressed Kyselicawho was the author of the whole visual.
In 2025/2026, the Tipsport League will have twelve participants again. Prešov returned among the elite after two seasons in the Slovak Hockey League (SHL) and replaced Nové Zámky, who said goodbye to the highest competition after nine years.
The season will start a big derby
Hockey players HC Košice will start your way to defend the Tipsport League championship on Friday 12th September at Slovan Stadium BRATISLAVA. This was decided by the Monday draw of the opening round of the 33rd year of the highest competition.

A newcomer from Prešov will welcome Poprad and there is also a derby between Banská Bystrica and Zvolen. In the regular season, each of the 12 teams will play fifty -four matches. All teams meet each other four times, twice at home and twice outdoors.
Regional rounds will be played in the same way as last year, two groups of “East” and “West” and each team will also play ten more duels. However, there will be a change in the division, as it has advanced Prešov, which will be presented in the eastern group and Žilina will move to the teams in the west. The first six clubs after the regular season will ensure direct participation in the playoffs, teams at 7-10. The place will be presented in the qualification.
The direct procedure and descent will be replaced by the relegation, which will include the two worst teams from the extra league after the regular season and two SHL participants. After a long time, the number of legionnaires in the highest Slovak competition is also changing. So far, the clubs could put seven foreigners into the competition match, after the new one there will be only six.
