France is in shock after a sad event where a high school student attacked and killed a pedagogical assistant.
French pedagogical assistant died of injuries when a pupil stabbed her on Tuesday in front of a school in Nogent in the east of the country, TASR reports according to AFP, AP and Reuters reports.
Immediately after the incident, a 15 -year -old high school student was detained and the authorities are currently questioning him. He attacked a 31-year-old assistant with a knife during a bag tour. One of the cops suffered minor injuries to the pupil’s detention.
French Education Minister Elisabeth Borne on the social network X announced that she would go to the incident of the incident to support the whole school community and the police. President Emmanuel Macron also condemned the attack.
“When she took care of our children in Nogent, a pedagogical assistant lost her life, a victim of meaningless violence,” wrote Macron on the social network X.
France has seen a series of attacks on teachers and pupils from other schoolchildren in recent years, recalls AFP. In March, the French police started to browse schools and bags of pupils to see if there are no knives and other weapons. At the end of April, the Ministry of Education announced that at 958 random checks of bags in schools, 94 knives were seized.
