An energy zero has left without electricity this Tuesday to the Canary Island of La Palma, as sources from the Canarian government and the Palmer Cabildo have confirmed to Efe. The fall of the supply occurred at 5:32 p.m.

This new blackout adds to the energy problems of the island, with two blackouts during last May and various intermittent courts sen several areas of the island, EP reports.

The 112 of the Canary Islands posted on the social network X that the island Executive has activated the Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands (Platca) in a warning situation for the blackout on the island.

In that post, the 112 also reveals that Endesa has communicated a failure in the generator of the Guinchos plant in Breña Alta, without short -term restoration forecast.

Complaints in May

The Cabildo de la Palma requested at the beginning of May the regional government that “acted” after two blackouts that occurred in a week. The island agency then said that the island suffers what they called “an energy emergency”, because according to their point of view the generators are obsolete.
