At least eight people, including four children, have died in an attack carried out on Tuesday by the Israel Army against a building in which the world’s medical NGO offices are located to deir al Balá, in the center of the Gaza Strip.
As Europa Press reports, the balance is provisional and initially details that there would also be a teenager among the victims, who perished after the impact of a projectile against the last floor of the building.
At the time of the attack there were no organization’s personnel inside the building due to the Festivity of Eid al Adha, known as the feast of sacrifice and one of the main celebrations in Islam.
“This attack represents a serious violation of humanitarian law, which protects both the civilian population and the humanitarian organizations that operate in conflict contexts,” says a statement, in which it has stressed that the bombing area “houses numerous NGO offices” and “welcomes displaced populations” of the north of the enclave and Jan Yunis (south).
