Allies of (-SP) have observed with irritation the increase in the presence of (PL-MG) in social networks of parliamentarians linked to pockets.
In the group’s evaluation, politicians driven by Eduardo in the past should now be engaged in defending their actions during self -exile in the US. But instead they came to approach Nikolas, another vote handle.
From abroad, Eduardo tries the government to impose sanctions on the minister, (Supreme Federal Court), rapporteur of the lawsuit on the coup plot involving the former president (PL).
In WhatsApp conversations, Eduardo was advised to directly seek the parliamentarians who stopped mentioning him in his profiles. For now, however, it has not taken any initiative.
Among the targets of discontent are the president of the Rio de Janeiro PL, Rafael Sotiê; the president of the PL Woman of Santa Catarina, Ana Campenolo; Federal Deputy André Fernandes (PL-CE) and Councilman of Maceió Leonardo Dias (PL).
With a strong digital presence, they were part of Eduardo’s political gear – a capitalized network that united different regions and could be mobilized around a Planalto candidacy.
In common, everyone has campaigned with the help of videos, photos and lives alongside the deputy, elected by just over 741,000 votes.
Eduardo told Veja magazine that he could in place of his father, who is ineligible until 2030 and is defendant in the case of the attempted coup. In seeking sanctions against Moraes, Eduardo is also reported by the minister. President Lula (PT) said his action.
None of this appears on the networks of the pockets, who, on the other hand, share posts of Nikolas, photos with the parliamentarian and attacks on the government guided by the miner.
Eduardo’s trip abroad was not debated with his party. Behind the scenes, PL members said they were contradicted of the decision because they evaluated that they lost an important Bolsonaro defender in Congress and that abroad he could be isolated.
At the party summit, part of the leaders, including the president of the acronym, Valdemar Costa Neto, has defended other alternatives to Bolsonaro to the presidency, such as former first lady Michelle. Officially, Eduardo will return to try the Senate for Sao Paulo.
According to PL members, the losses of the absence became clearer during the PL Communication Congress in Fortaleza. Rafael Sotiê was a master of ceremonies and quoted Eduardo on stage, but stated that “the physical distance makes all the difference” in this type of meeting.
“Eduardo is an undeniable reference for all our generation. It was he who opened ways, including me,” said the carioca councilman. “Today, what happens is that it is outside Brazil, and it naturally creates a certain distance in the political routine.”
“However, his leadership remains. At the same time, we continue to strengthen the base. The PL Youth Meeting, which I organized in Rio in May, showed that there are increasingly prepared and engaged conservatives. Our role now is to add, not divide. There is no Eduardo or Time Nikolas. We are all Bolsonaro Time,” he said.
With almost 18 million followers on Instagram and 8 million at Tiktok, Nikolas had already caused resentment among bolsonarism hard core members. He is also considered, around Eduardo, one of the politicians who rose with his support.
Rivalry is fueled in part by the success of the miner’s own flight. It is with his videos, not from the Bolsonaros, that the Lula government is concerned when it takes any extent that it can be seen as unpopular, as the recent case of the increase in IOF (Tax on Financial Operations) in the Allied view.
The first public noise between Nikolas and the Bolsonaro clan occurred in the municipal elections, when the deputy approached the influencer (), (), supported by the former president in Sao Paulo.
On the eve of the first round, with Marçal growing up in research, Nikolas’ movement generated criticism from pockets, although the influencer has not advanced for the second round.
In March, a new malaise emerged when Bolsonaro summoned supporters for a demonstration in Rio de Janeiro. The act sought to boost, in Congress, the amnesty project to the January 8 prisoners, which could benefit the former president.
The assessment was that taking guidelines like Lula’s impeachment to the streets could sound a new provocation to the Supreme Court. Nikolas, however, published “Outside, Lula” on social networks when dealing with the demonstration, still in January.
Bolsonaro recorded a video disallowing the gesture without quoting the miner. In the following protest, however, in April, in São Paulo, with Eduardo already abroad, Nikolas was called to speak, among other stars of pockets.
The report sought Nikolas, but its advice did not respond. There was also no return from Ana Caroline Campagnolo’s team. André Fernandes and Leonardo Dias were not found.
