One of the Men arrested for the death of Bruna Zucco Segantin, 21 -year -old elected Miss Altônia (PR) in 2018he tattooed his face in the flames of a woman – an image that, according to the Paraná Civil Police (PCPR), alludes to the victim, found charred alongside Valdir de Brito Feitosa, 30, on a rural road in the municipality of Altonia, in the northwest of the state.
The arrest took place this last Saturday (7), in Palmas, in the southern region of Paraná, seven years after the double homicide. In addition to him, three other men, aged 26 to 44, were detained preventively for qualified homicide and destruction of the corpse. A fifth investigated, appointed as an intermediary, is on the run.
According to delegate Reginaldo Caetano, the crime was motivated by disputes between criminal groups involved in drug trafficking and smuggling cigarettes. Valdir, the ambush target, was linked to smuggling. Bruna was killed for being with him at the time of execution. The investigation indicates that she had no involvement with illicit activities.
The suspect of getting the tattoo was a resident of Santa Catarina and was hired as a gunman by the alleged 39 -year -old mastermind, arrested in Balneário Camboriú (SC). The hiring was intermediated by a man from Pato Branco (PR), a city from which a second executor also came. PCPR reported that at least three people participated directly in the execution.
According to police, the principal was hiding in an apartment with armored door and it was necessary to use explosives so that the agents could fulfill the arrest warrant.
The murders took place on March 22, 2018. On the morning of the same day, the charred bodies of Bruna and Valdir were found in the bucket of a pickup. An exhumation report made in 2019 confirmed that both had been shot dead.
All prisoners were sent to the penitentiary system. Police are still in demarches to locate the investigated fugitive.
