The government plans to send a provisional measure to the congress that will recalibrate the IOF decree. This proposal will include the 18% charge on Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) of betting companies, as well as the taxation of 5% over LCA and LCI. Teixeira emphasized that these changes aim to correct existing distortions in the credit market. On the other hand, the Agricultural Parliamentary Front expressed its opposition to the provisional measure, warning that the proposal may result in an increase in food prices and negatively affect rural credit.
