Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), said on Tuesday (10), during a statement at the Supreme Federal Court (STF), that “I would not like to be convicted.”
He has been a defendant since March 26, in the action that investigates an attempted coup d’état, after unanimous decision of the First Class of the Supreme Court.
“I did and did my best in the presidency, even not expecting to elect president. I have no obsession with power, I have a passion for our Brazil […] Obviously I would not like to be condemned, because I understand that nothing I am being accused of proceeding. I count on you and the prosecutor also have an exempt trial, “said the former president.
Bolsonaro is accused by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) of being the leader of a criminal organization to keep him in power after the 2022 elections. According to PGR, he would have formulated and edited draft that was exception in the country, and was aware of the “Yellow Green dagger” plan, designed to kill Lula, Geraldo Alckmin and Alexandre de Moraes.
