About 20,000 children were in Fama for the last stage of the pilgrimage. Coming from all over the country, groups organized by local catecheses gave color to the sanctuary constituting a different scenario than usual.
For some the pilgrimage began on Monday, but most arrived at the sanctuary at the early hours of this morning and in time of the Rosary and the Eucharist in the room.
The color that allowed to distinguish the different groups and origins made the scenario a kind of patchwork of small pilgrims.
According to data from the sanctuary beyond the two bishops, a deacon and 76 priests, which guided the ceremonies, the pilgrimage had about 80,000 participants, about 20,000 were children.
The first pilgrimage of the children took place in 1977 in the 60 years of Fatima’s appearances.
