The Slovak Republic will not support the upcoming 18. The penalty package against the Russian Federation, Unless its European Commission does not provide a real solution to the crisis situation in which Slovakia will be fully stopped after the gas, oil and nuclear fuel supplies from Russia. On Tuesday, the EC introduced 18 sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. It is intended to affect Russia’s revenue from energy and military industry. In the new package, it is proposed to reduce the price ceiling to Russian oil and disable trading with companies operating the Nord Stream 1 and 2 AS gas pipelinesthat are involved in the circumvention of sanctions. EU Member States will start to negotiate on the proposal of 18. Their unanimous consent is required to receive it.
