“When we talk about a bill, it seems that it is a perverse bill. I reject any possibility of talking about a coup bill or a bill that does not adjust to the Brazilian Constitution,” he said.
When asked by Judge Alexandre de Moraes about the content of the meetings with military commanders at the end of 2022, the ex -president has affirmed that they addressed the possibility of acting “within the Constitution”, according to the G1 news portal.
“I cannot guarantee that this or that matter was discussed for this or that day. The meetings that were held were largely based on the decision of the TSE (Superior Electoral Court). When we present a petition on possible vulnerabilities and, the next day, it was not accepted, it was no longer discussed,” he said.
Bolsonaro has considered that the payment of a fine imposed by the TSE against its political formation, the Liberal Party, for asking for the disability of the elections prevented, in its opinion, any questioning of the electoral result. “We understood that, if we appealed, the fine could increase,” he said.
He also rejected that his government discussed the possibility of carrying out coup plan: “For my part, there was never talk of a coup d’etat. It is abominable.
