Bogota (Reuters)-Senator Miguel Uribe, 39, remains critical after being shot in Bogota on Saturday, but showed signs of neurological improvement, Santa Fe hospital said in a statement on Wednesday.
A possible candidate for the presidency, he is a member of the right -wing opposition party party.
Uribe was shot in his head while speaking at a campaign event in a public park in the capital.

“Despite the severity of its condition, there are signs of neurological improvement due to a decrease in cerebral edema. There is also evidence of a tendency to hemodynamic stabilization,” said Santa Fé Hospital.
