A It completes a month on Wednesday (11). The São Paulo State Basic Sanitation Company (Sabesp) reported that, for security reasons, “it is not yet possible to complete services in the sewage system in the affected area.”

According to the company, the teams identified a fragility of underground during excavation. The surface analyzes had not foreseen this, which caused the postponement of the conclusion to ensure the safety on the road.

Currently, the company focuses on strengthening underground containment, ensuring the stability of the land. “Materials equivalent to 20 mortar trucks of mortar and concrete cream were injected into the soil, ensuring the stability of the surface and the safety of those who travel or work on the road,” Sabesp said in a statement.

After this service, Sabesp plans to return to services on the underground network, causing the teams to access the pipe by a new well, already excavated 17 meters away: “From it, it will be possible to isolate and disable the old box, restoring the proper functioning of the system.”

Crater reopened

A On the road, causing total interdiction, it was on April 10th. Just over a month later, on May 11, and the Traffic Engineering Company (CET) interdicted the area.

Sabesp had promised to release a track from the central track until May 14, with the possibility of releasing two tracks by the end of that week.

However, this partial release was due to an overload on sewage networks caused by heavy rains that hit the northern part of the city.

The implementation of the new access, at the time of the Atílio Fontana Bridge, towards Castello Branco, was completed on May 18.

CET orientation

CET updated the Waze mobility application with blocking information and alternative routes. The directly affected highways were also communicated.

Company agents are assisting in traffic flow since the Aricanduva Bridge, but the recommendation is to avoid the marginal in this stretch while the works last.

In addition, there is a temporary to give vent to traffic. This solution connects the local track with the center, allowing the flow.
