Former Defense Minister Paulo Sérgio Nogueira said on Tuesday (10), in a statement to the Supreme Court (STF), that the Armed Forces report on the electronic ballot box is “technical and very true”.
“Our report is very technical and very true in what TSE has made available for us to work. It was approved by the three commanders,” said Nogueira.
“When it is said that the Armed Forces report did not accused fraud, I consider it not to be accurate, because the job was to oversee,” added former defense minister of Jair Bolsonaro.
Nogueira has been a defendant since March this year for involvement in the attempted coup d’état, according to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR).
According to PGR’s complaint, he would have helped former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the writing of the scam draft and presented the document to the armed forces commanders, seeking support.
He is also accused of seeking ways to endorse criticism of the electronic ballot boxes to inflate popular distrust in the electoral system.
