The National Confederation of Portuguese Hunters has just launched a new edition of Alva Magazine, a reference publication in the national cinengic sector. In this, the highlighted themes reinforce the commitment of the representative entities of hunting in Portugal to sustainability, the valorization of the activity and the memory of the figures that gave them an expression.
One of the central articles is by Paulo Salsa, vice president of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF), which reflects on the controlled return of the commonplace hunting after a moratorium imposed by the decline of the species. The opinion of the official underlines the importance of the balance between conservation and kinegetic activity.
The magazine also highlights the recent election of the new social bodies of the Algarve Hunters Federation, which took place on May 24, in Tavira, under the respective General Assembly. With about a hundred voters, the list headed by Vítor Palm was unanimously approved by the federation presidency for the 2025 to 2029 mandate.
Readers can also learn in detail the work developed by the Beira Litoral Hunting and Fishing Federation, led by Carlos Rodrigues, an entity that has played a relevant role in the sustainable management of cinegetic and piscola resources in the central region of the country.
The publication also gives visibility to the latest initiatives of the National Confederation of Portuguese Hunters and presents the calendar of vena events for this season. Among them, stands out the Armenian Trophy, tribute to an unavoidable figure of hunting in Portugal and driving the tests of Santo Huberto.
