The controversy surrounding José Castelo Branco continues to feed social networks and the press, this time with serious accusations by Ricardo Jerónimo, to whom the socialite referred to as “his stewardship.” According to Ricardo, the old glamorous Casa Nova Yorquina where Castelo Branco lived with Betty Grafstein is now in total degradation-with accumulated waste, dishes for washing and even the presence of rats.
Ricardo Jerónimo, who approached Castelo Branco in one of the most troubled moments of the socialite’s life, will have helped transport furniture and decorative objects that he collected from New York’s garbage. Since then, he began to live with him in the apartment, but coexistence has quickly deteriorated.
In blunt statements, Ricardo accused José Castelo Branco of humiliating him and living in deplorable conditions. “He loves to say that I’m from the land and that I am an emigrant. But what is he? Is it poor, it has to be the others bringing food to him,” he said. He added, “He prefers to eat dirty dishes just so he won’t have to wash the dishes.
