The minister, of the (Supreme Federal Court), revoked on Tuesday (10) the prohibition that the defendants of the 2022 coup plot would contact. The decision was announced at the end of the interrogation session of the 8 involved in the central nucleus of the complaint.
“At this point, once all already heard, the prosecution and defense witnesses and the defendants, I revoke the precautionary measure that imposed on January 26, 2024 of prohibition of the defendants to maintain contact with each other. So the defendants are dismissed from this prohibition of eventually retaining contact with each other,” said the rapporteur.
The Supreme Court devoted about 13 hours to interrogations, adding the sessions of Monday (9) and this Tuesday.

As Moraes marked the interrogations for this week, General Augusto Heleno’s lawyer, Matheus Milanez, asked the minister about the measures imposed on the defendants, as they would all be in the same environment. The rapporteur replied that the measurements were maintained.
“Precautionary measures continue to be valid. Obviously, there is no need for any of the defendants to miss education to the other. There is no problem with greeting, but they are still prevented from communicating. Each one will have their space reserved in the first class session room, so there is no need to worry,” he said.
From the group, only Braga Netto is arrested preventively and was interrogated for video conferencing. The defense already.
He has been arrested preventively since December 14, 2024 by determination of the minister after request of the and endorsement of the (Attorney General’s Office). According to the Attorney’s Office, Braga Netto tried to interfere with the investigations.
