Businessman Elon Musk said on Tuesday, 10, that Tesla is “provisionally” programmed to start offering robotaxi service in Austin, Texas, on the 22nd. The date, however, can be changed because the automaker is “super paranoid about safety,” said Musk, in a publication on the social network X.

Earlier this year, Musk stated that the service would be offered at some point in June, which aroused the interest of Tesla investors, analysts and enthusiasts.

Last month, Musk stated that robotáxis will be remotely monitored at the beginning of the operation and “geocers” for certain areas of the city. The initial fleet will have ten vehicles.
