SNAP will launch its first intelligent consumer glasses next year, increasing competition with the rival meta in the wearable electronic device market, also known as Wearables. The company reported on Tuesday that its augmented reality glasses (RA), called Specs, will be light.

Snap launched its fifth generation Spectacles glasses in September, but they were only available to developers. Known for Snapchat, its messages and photos with animated filters, SNAP has been increasingly betting on augmented reality, which can overlap digital effects on photos or videos of real environments through a camera or lens.

Integration of weather technology can open new lucrative markets and diversify SNAP revenue flows amid an uncertain digital ad market due to changes in US commercial policies.

The company has invested more than $ 3 billion in 11 years to develop its augmented reality glasses, SNAP’s co-founder and CEO said on Tuesday at the Augmented World Expo 2025 augmented reality conference. “Before Snapchat had a chat, we were building the glasses.”

The popularity of Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, developed by the goal in partnership with Essirluxottica, has led companies like Google to explore similar investments. The goal continues to add artificial intelligence resources (IA) to your glasses to attract more consumers.

SNAP has announced that it will partner with the Augmented Reality Platform and Niantic Spatial Geospace Technology to improve Lens Studio, an application used by content creators to project, cheer up and publish augmented reality lenses to the Snapchat camera, and Specs glasses.
