Treé establishes sending rare land and permanence of Chinese students to US universities
The President of the United States, (Republican Party), on the morning of Wednesday (11.jun.2025) that signed an agreement with China to maintain the truce in the trade war between countries.
“Our agreement with China is made, subject only the final approval of XI [presidente da China] and mine ”Trump said in a publication on his profile at Truth Social.
According to the US President, China will provide all the necessary rare magnets and lands, while Americans will maintain Chinese student access to the country’s universities. Trump also said the US is charging 55% of tariffs and 10% China, noting that the relationship between the two is “excellent”.
Rare land
Despite the tariff reduction, the US is dissatisfied with. These ores are essential for the automotive and energy industry. The Asian country concentrates 70% of the global production of rare land.
In April this year, the Chinese implemented a rare land export licensing system that is causing delays in delivering these materials. The European Union has also expressed dissatisfaction with the practice.
The US imposed commercial restrictions on the Asian country after signing the Geneva Agreement. The White House has issued control guidelines for exporting AI chips (artificial intelligence) and interrupted the sale of chip design software to China.
The Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, stated that the rare lands “They are a fundamental part of this agreement”. He also stated that chip restriction measures for China can be reviewed.
