prefabricated architecture on the small scale of the twentieth century, popularly known as the UFO house for its futuristic design. He thought and designed in 1969 the Greek architect Nikolaos Xasteros and in 2023 he bought it and restored the French march and gallery player based in Perpiñán, Clement Cividino, who had it exposed more than a year in the vineyards of the Remote Terra Bodega, in Sant Climent Sescebes (Alt Empordà).

The gallery owner acquired the house, now owned by Brad Pitt, in February 2023 in Greece, where he found her abandoned. In June of that year, it began to show in the exhibition space that the owners of the Remote Terra Winery have on their farm and there it stayed until September. Cividino’s contacts with gallery owners around the world, also from the United States and the great international knowledge of his work caused one of the actors considered more attractive in Hollywood to be interested in her. The purchase by the actor was made as discretion, as the rest of the sales of this gallery owner that this Friday turns 42, who has taken almost 9 months to transcend the news.

The house, 45 square meters, white and oval shape and made of fiberglass and wooden floor, was transferred in the last quarter of last year, in two large containers, – the roof was dismantled in two parts and the walls in three – to the property of California where the actor collects house. It is empty, according to its restorer, because “they are sold with nothing in the interior space, without furniture, because each client has their own project, there are those who use them from yoga room, room, or to put a car …”.

Xasteros built seven other copies equal to the house acquired by Pitt, according to Cividino. “Four of them are broken and unarmed and the other four I bought them, the other three I still have them to restore in the workshop where I keep these pieces, in a town in the east of France,” he says. The gallery owner considers the American actor “a passionate about architecture.” “It has a collection of several models of unique houses of international architects. In addition they have always liked the design furniture, so much that it even took a line of furniture, it is very cultivated on this topic,” he adds.

Cividino reveals that Brad Pitt’s passion for architecture is such that in 2012, knowing that many of the people who had been homeless after the devastating Hurricane Katrina in 2005, “joined the Canadian architect based in the United States, Frank Gehry, author of works such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, in an architectural project to be able to give them home.” The actor and the architect created the Foundation Make it Rightto raise money and devised a typology of housing with sustainable, economic and easy to maneuver, functional households and also aesthetically beautiful.

Acquired by the Bournazeau Florensa family in 1999. Its design, by the hand of the architecture and interior company Pepe Cortés, perfectly integrates nature, technology and aesthetics into the 40 hectares of property, of which 23 are destined for vineyards. So far, all the houses of the gallery owner exposed in this scenario, have been sold, “one has remained in Empordà, the others have traveled to China, Korea or Paris,” he detailed. Now has exposed a metal tropical house of 1947, the only one made by designer and architect Ferdinand Fillod and was abandoned by somewhere in Europe until it was rescued and restored by him, in collaboration with the French Ministry of Culture.
