In a controversial step, the EU officially approved the collection of additional fees for hand luggage in luggage compartments and thus further increases the financial burden on passengers, as reported, among other things, the Travel Tour World industry portal. This decision, which was made on June 5, gives the airlines the right to raise fees for storing hand luggage in the upper subjects, which was so far free of charge.
