Chicken in Italian It’s the perfect combination of juicy meat, aromatic additives and simplicity of preparation. This is not only a dish, but a culinary journey full of expressive colors and flavors to the sunny region of Europe. Delicate chicken breasts, hide surprises – a layer of molten mozzarella, juicy slices of tomatoes and fresh basil leaves. All ingredients harmonize perfectly with each other, creating flavor harmony that will delight every Mediterranean cuisine lover. This is an ideal proposal for a family lunch, a romantic dinner or a meeting with friends. Preparation is simple and the effect is impressive.
- 4 single chicken breasts,
- 1 large tomato or 2 small,
- 200 g mozzarelli,
- 1 handful of fresh basil leaves,
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil,
- ½ teaspoon salt,
- ½ teaspoon of black pepper.
Clean chicken breasts and dry with paper towels. Cut them horizontally in half, but not cutting completely. Open your breasts like pockets. Rub them on all sides with salt and pepper.
Cut the tomatoes into at least 8 slices.
Insert 1/3 grated cheese inside, evenly separating them between meat lobes. Then put the slices of tomatoes, cover them with basil leaves and sprinkle with another 1/3 grated cheese.
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, then put the chicken pieces gently. Fry them on each side for 2-3 minutes, gently turning the pliers.
Put the chicken in Italian into an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with other mozzarella cheese. Bake the dish at 200 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes, until the meat and nice dissolve of cheese.
Serve warm, immediately after cooking. Store any remains in the fridge and heat in the oven.
