The MAAE Governing Council has adopted a resolution on the failure to fulfill Iran’s commitments, which can lead to the restoration of UN sanctions.

The Council of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (MAAE) adopted a resolution on Thursday that Iran does not fulfill its obligations in the field of non -extension of nuclear weapons. The resolution aims to put further pressure on Iran, with which the US under the leadership of President Donald Trump is trying to conclude a new nuclear agreement. The attitude of the maae members

19 members of the MAAE Governor Council voted for the resolution, three were against the resolution and 11 Member States abstained, unnamed diplomats said about the results of the meeting behind closed doors. Two countries did not vote and against AP Russia, China and Burkina Faso.

The UN Supervisory Agency, based in Vienna for the first time in 20 years, officially stated the non -fulfillment of Iran’s obligations. The resolution was submitted by France, Britain, Germany and the USA.
