The far right -wing deputy Grzegorz Braun was banned from entering Sejm after the incident with an exhibition on the rights of LGBT.
Grzegorz Braun, a far -right deputy of the European Parliament (EP), was banned from entering Sejm, the Lower Chamber of Polish Parliament on Wednesday. This is due to damage to the LGBT community’s rights exhibition, TASR reports according to the PAP report.
The images published on social networks can see how Braun destroys the exhibition information panels right in front of the Parliamentary Guard and Security cameras.
Prohibition of entry into Sejma
Szymon Holownia, chairman of Szymon Holownia, announced that Braun’s entry of Parliament’s premises will be banned. “I informed the commander (parliamentary guard) Michal Sadon that I am issuing a formal instruction prohibiting Braun’s entry into Sejma or any premises under the jurisdiction of the Office of Sejma,” Holownia said before journalists.
At the same time, he announced changes in security rules that allow parliamentary guard to intervene physically not only in the case of a threat to other persons, but also in cases of deliberate destruction of property.
Reaction of the Minister of Foreign Affairs
Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski also responded to the incident. He wrote on the social network X: “As a former chairman of Sejma, I do not understand why parliamentary security again did not confuse MP Braun directly in the act of damaging private property.”
In the past, Braun has faced a wave of criticism after extinguishing candles on the nine -arm Jewish Hanuk’s candlestick in the Parliament building.
