“The last wall on the European mainland disappears!” The Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares in Brussels celebrated the agreement between the United Kingdom, Spain and the European Union on the future status of the former British crown colony and the now British overseas area Gibraltar in the far south of the Iberian Peninsula. In addition to Albares, his British counterpart David Lammy, the European trade commissioner Maroš Šefčovič and the Prime Minister of Gibraltar, Fabian Picardo were present in addition to Albares.
