According to the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT), after the emptying of the tank, a backhoe machine will be used to try to remove the trailer and release the track for the passage of vehicles. Also according to the agency, an earlier attempt to remove the vehicle with the aid of a backhoe was unsuccessful.

The superintendent of the Dnit in Acre, Ricardo Araújo, said that the stretch where the incident occurred is Macadame and has no holes, discarding the road failures as the cause of the accident. “He [o motorista] He made a wrong maneuver and it all happened. The driver is changed there, ”he said.

According to preliminary information, a person was arrested on the spot, but the circumstances of the detention have not yet been detailed by the authorities.

It is expected that as soon as the fuel is fully transferred and the wagon safely removed, the BR-364 stretch is reopened to traffic.

The case is still under the monitoring of DNIT and local security forces.
