The open letter published by and this Wednesday (11) defending the regulation of motorcyclexis in, directed to the mayor (), represents a “change of tone” of companies, says the councilwoman (PSB), who presides over subcommittee on the subject in the City Council.
“There was a very large maturation on the part of the applications after they attended all five meetings and two public hearings of the subcommittee,” says the parliamentarian. “We realize another tone, very similar to what we are addressing.”

According to Falzoni, “now companies are understanding that they will have to change”, speaking of compulsory insurance and speed limit, for example, and also asking the city to “play a more active role in road safety supervision.”
She says applications, which have “profited a lot” by withdrawing radars and the reduction of traffic agents in recent years – providing faster deliveries – now they have understood that a “rescue of traffic calming policy” in general in Sao Paulo, not just motorcycles.
“They even stole the end of the phrase of me: ‘regular is to protect, prohibit is excluding’, which is what I always say,” says the councilwoman.
The subcommittee, which established from April to August, analyzes three bills presented on the subject and has so far counted on debates and presentations from institutions such as Ipea, Cordial Institute and Brazilian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology, as well as the Municipal Health Secretariat.
