During a flight over Italy, Brazilian pilot Rafael Santoro captured an impressive moment: the Etna volcano in the middle of the eruption.
The record was made from the cabin of the plane and quickly became viral on social networks, showing the strength of nature in action. The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology confirmed the eruption of Monte Etna, located in the eastern part of Sicily, between the provinces of Messin and Catania.
With about 3,403 meters of altitude, ETNA is the highest active volcano in Europe and one of the most monitored volcanic formations in the world.
