The City Hall of Cruzeiro do Sul is conducting works of the revitalization and renovation in two of the city’s main sports spaces: the Olympic village and the “O Cruzeirão” stadium. The goal is to ensure more comfort, safety and structure for athletes and the general population. Mayor Zequinha Lima visited both places on the morning of Friday, 13, to closely monitor the progress of the services.
The renovation of the Olympic village, in AC 405, has an investment of R $ 419 thousand of parliamentary amendment from Senator Alan Rick for painting, revitalization of the power grid, changing nets and wall protection walls, hydraulic installations, dishes and walls of the walls, lighting track/field, along with the coatings around the pool.
The action, according to Zequinha, is part of the municipal management commitment to the encouragement of sports and the appreciation of public spaces.
“The Olympic village is undergoing a process of renovation at important points so that we can offer proper structure for both residents of the region and the city as a whole. We know how important this space is for leisure and sports,” said Zequinha Lima.
The Cruzeirão
At the “O Cruzeirão” stadium, the works are in advanced stage. The lawn has been preserved and is in perfect condition. The improvements focus on the metal coverage of the stands and the modernization of lighting, which will have twice the previous capacity, with new and more powerful reflectors, along with expansion of the Nylon network in the soccer field and the new electrical installation to meet and improve the events and demands of the site. The work is budgeted at R $ 365 thousand reais, parliamentary amendment of Senator Petecão.
“Cruzeirão is gaining a new face. The coverage of the stands is almost ready and the new lighting will double the capacity we had before. In a maximum of 20 days, we will inaugurate this modern and fully revitalized space, with a high quality lawn, ready to host first and second division competitions, as well as other sporting events,” said the mayor.
