With more than 40 test beers, regional cuisine and a lot of music, between June 13 and 15, Praxis Beer Fest 2025 wants to pay tribute to the beer tradition of the students.
From June 13 to 15, Coimbra is the capital of beer. The first edition of Praxis Beer Fest wants to be the big summer event in the city, joining in the same space, Jardim da Merda and Campo de Santa Cruz, the best national and international craft beers. There is also regional cuisine and a poster containing big names in national music, with the last -minute confirmation of an Ana Bacalhau show.
The idea at the source of this festival, reveals Pedro Baptista, from Praxis, “began to be the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the brands Topazio and Onyx,” Beers of Coimbra who returned to the bottle for the distillation of praxis after decades of absence. There are new commemorative labels of the hundredth anniversary of the two beer brands, paying away, says Pedro Baptista, “tribute to the city’s brewing heritage”. They also intend that “Coimbra will be the capital of beer in Portugal again, because, in the last century, all brewers learned in Coimbra to make beer.”

To accompany the beer there is the “dish of the hoods”, Handmade pizzas of the tenesse gourmet hamburgers, sanders of cachaço d’Aamos, and vegetarian options from vegetables and other addictions. Beer conversations, harmonizations and culture
The brewing culture will be featured at Praxis Beer Fest 2025 through a programming thought to the confectioners and curious. Praxis Beer Fest also assumes a social commitment: 20% of the festival’s profit will be intended for a support scholarship for young artists from the Coimbra region, in partnership with the Asas to Imagination Association, supporting the development of emerging careers through the production of albums or singles.
