The UOL website released on Friday (13), the first images of the make off of ‘Geni and Zepelim’, the new film by Anna Muylaert with Ayla Gabriela as Geni and Seu Jorge as the commander. The work is an adaptation of Chico Buarque’s homonymous music, and addresses topics such as intolerance and marginalization.

The recordings were made in the interior of Acre, specifically in the city of Cruzeiro do Sul, and the place was chosen by the director, known for the award -winning film that time she comes back?, 2015, due to her cultural and historical potential, seeking to bring visibility to tourism in the region.
The feature film portrays the life of Geni, a bad woman seen in the riverside city she lives. The story has been sung by Buarque since 1978, and guided by the verse: “Plays stone in Geni!” Until a Zeplelin, a characteristic aircraft of the twentieth century, enters the plot.
The recordings of the film were made this year and the premiere, which will be distributed in theaters by Paris Filmes, is scheduled for 2026. This is the first time that actress Ayla Gabriela will be protagonist in a feature film.
