The pilot’s backpack was stolen from his car in Zurich during a dinner. Bortoleto’s team has quickly solved the issue of documents, and the pilot is already on Canadian soil, preparing for training, which starts on Friday (13). The race will be on Sunday (15). “I had gone to have dinner one day in Switzerland and it ended that they opened the car and took my backpack. I had my passports, all inside. Computer, all my race materials. It was a chaos … everything went well in the end,” Bortoleto told Band.

Formula 1 returns this weekend, after 15 days of break, with the Grand Prix of Canada, tenth stage of the season. McLaren’s Oscar Pastri leads the championship with 186 points and five wins. Lando Norris, his teammate, appears in second with 176 points.

Max Verstappen is in third place with 137 points. Fernando Alonso occupies the 18th position, with two points. Bortoleto has not scored yet and is in 19th. In the last race, the Spain Grand Prix, he won his best place in the season, with 12th place. At the World Cup, McLaren leads with 362 points. Ferrari is the second place with 165, followed by Mercedes with 159. Red Bull appears fourth with 144, and Williams closes the top 5, with 54 points.
