Ipsos -Ipec: Lula has 43% disapproval and 25% approval – 12/06/2025 – Power

The government () is seen as bad or terrible by 43% of voters and as great or good for 25%, according to new Ipsos-Ipec survey released on Thursday (12). 29% who consider regular administration and 2% who do not know or did not want to answer.

The data represent a negative oscillation compared to those, when the current management of the Planalto Palace was evaluated as bad or poor by 41% of respondents, compared to 27% good or great and 30% regular.

The ipsos-Ipec survey has heard 2,000 voters from 16 years or older in 132 Brazilian municipalities from 5 to 9 June. The survey margin of error is two percentage points for more or less.

This is the second time that the institute has shown the negative assessment surpassing the positive, in the sign of stability in the indicators and difficulty of the Chief Executive to improve his image in the face of the scandal of the (National Institute of Social Security).

According to Ipsos-Ipec, the same negative variation is seen in the way of governor of the president: there are 55% voters who disapprove of Lula’s manner to manage the country, even three months ago, compared to 39% that approve-40% in March.

In addition, 50% of respondents say the government is worse than they expected, against 20% of those who think management is better than they imagined and 28%, which is equal to expectations. In March, there were 51%, 19%and 28%, respectively, in stability.

The same punctual variations are seen in the confidence of the electorate in Lula, who remained similar in relation to the previous survey: 58% say they do not trust the agent, same number in March; 37% say they trust, against 40% three months ago; And 4% did not know or did not want to answer.

According to the institute, the positive assessment of the president is better among those who declared to vote for the petista by 2022 (53%), the northeastern (38%), the least educated (36%), the (32%) and with up to one (33%).

On the other hand, the petista has the most negative evaluations among voters of (75%), among those with income greater than five minimum wages (59%), those with higher education (51%) and (50%).
