General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, was killed during the Israeli attacks on Friday (13). The information was confirmed by the Irann Tvestal Irinn.
Bagheri was the highest patent military in the country and one of the most influential names in the hierarchy of the Iranian regime. He is the second Alto Escalão officer who had the death confirmed in the attack.
General Hossein Salami, Chief Commander of the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), was also killed in the attacks, according to reports from various Iranian state communication vehicles.
The Israeli offensive was classified by the Israeli government as a “preventive attack” and had as military and strategic targets within the Iranian territory. According to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the operation included nuclear facilities and should extend for several days.
In addition to Bagheri, the death of General Hossein Salami, commander-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, was also reported, although the information has not yet been officially confirmed by Tehran. State TV and other Iranian media cite multiple casualties among the country’s main military staff.
