Iranian citizens went to the streets of the capital of Tehran and other cities today, asking for revenge against Israel, after the and death of various officers and scientists.
Abbas Ahmadi, 52, was very angry this morning with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claiming that it is not possible to “leave this ‘bastard'” continue.
Otherwise, he added, “let’s end up like Gaza,” devastated for more than 20 months of war.
“Iran has to destroy it, it has to do something,” said this employee, who was driving on a street in the capital, quoted in a report by the France Presse news agency.
Most of the streets were practically deserted this morning, with most stores closed due to the holiday to mark the Shiite Festival of Al-Ghadir.
In the center of the capital, where many official buildings are located, the Iranians manifested themselves on the streets against the “declared enemy” and the “American ally”.
“Death to Israel, death to America,” they shouted, branding Iranian flags and displaying portraits of the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has been in power since 1989 and is the one who makes decisions ultimately.
According to Iranian state television, similar demonstrations are undergoing in other cities and various service stations record long queues, a phenomenon that is not unusual in Iran in tension times.
In the rich neighborhood of Nobonyad, north of Tehran, two strongly damaged residential buildings, with flames still leaving the structure, witness the violence of Israelite attacks.
Rescue teams work in the rubble in the area, isolated by a large security device that keeps the curious people who met nearby.
“How long will we live in fear?” Asks Ahmad Moadi, a 62 -year -old retired.
“As Iranian, I think there has to be an overwhelming answer, a blunt response,” he said.
For decades, since the Islamic Revolution in Iran, in 1979, that the two countries are declared enemies.
In 2024, tensions reached the peak when Iran and Israel took turns attacks on each other’s territory, with the background of the war in Gaza.
Iran regularly holds individuals accused of being spies and in the past accused Israel of being responsible for murders and sabotage related to their nuclear program.
At least six scientists involved in the Iranian nuclear program were killed in today’s Israeli attacks against the Iranian capital and other regions of the country, which also reached part of Iran’s military summit, killing an indefinite number of high military and civilian positions.
“They kill so many university professors and researchers and then negotiate?” Moadi lamented, referring to the Israelites, that the government accuses that they are sold by the United States.
Washington began negotiations with Tehran about his nuclear program in April.
Israel accuses Iran of wanting to build an atomic bomb and considers it an existential threat. Tehran, who vehemently denies having such military ambitions, says he is developing the nuclear for civil purposes, namely for energy purposes.
The Israeli offensive occurs when Iran and the United States prepared for a sixth round of nuclear negotiations on Sunday, being uncertain if the agenda remains.
Washington requires the full dismantling of Iran’s nuclear activities, a “non -negotiable” requirement for Tehran.
“They want to deprive us of our nuclear capacity, which is unacceptable,” says Ahmad Razaghi, 56, in tune with the official position.
For Farnoush Rezaï, a 45 -year -old nurse, today’s Israeli attacks were the last act of a country near “his last sigh,” repeating a conviction of decades from Iranian leaders from which Israel will disappear.
“God willing, at least a little peace will come out of here,” said Rezaï.
