The Criminal Chamber of the Acre Court of Justice (TJAC) decided to keep, on Tuesday (10), the conviction of Talisson de Souza Gama, the “Exu Skull”, and Ramises da Silva Feitosa, known as “Saymon”, involved in the murder of application driver Rener Silva de Menezes. The crime occurred in April 2023 in the center of Rio Branco. The pair was also held responsible for two attempted murder and participation in armed criminal organization.

The convicts fulfill the closed sentence, without the right to appeal in freedom. Talisson has been sentenced to over 58 years in prison, while Ramisses received a sentence of 35 years and 1 month. The defenses tried to review the sentence with arguments such as the withdrawal of aggravants and the recognition of continued crime, but all requests were denied by the rapporteur, Judge Denise Bonfim, whose vote was unanimously accompanied.

The attack took place at Rua Cunha Matos, Gameleira, and was recorded by security cameras. Rener was hit by at least 11 shots and died at the scene; Two other people were shot. The judge pointed out that crimes committed by criminal organizations have deep social impact and require more severe criminal response, justifying the penalties applied.
