Member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, Carlos Veras (-PE) signed the salary of federal, state, district or municipal elective mandate.
The project, hosted by the table under the management of President Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), was criticized by the PT leader in the House, (RJ), who called him inappropriate.
The petista leader pointed to inconsistency in the fact that the idea means increasing spending as the government.
Veras, who occupies the first secretary of the house, says he subscribed to the project in conjunction with the Board of Directors only to be analyzed by the Plenary, but states that his vote will be in accordance with the party’s orientation.
“I am affiliated to the PT and I am at the Board of Directors fulfilling the nomination I received from the party and the Brazil Federation of Hope. Once the PT’s guidance on the merit of the proposition is defined, this is the position I will follow,” he said.
If the bill is approved, retirement payment will be released for deputies who would already be entitled to the benefit, but did not request it because they were elected for new terms.
The text also creates a holiday bonus for retirees and pensioners.
