While seeking to enable his candidacy for the Bandeirantes Palace in 2026, the president of the Legislative Assembly of (Alesp), André do Prado (), proposed to increase the salaries and bonuses of Legislative employees in values above and the readjustment granted to the state’s civil service.
Chaired by André, the Board of Directors published, on Tuesday (10), a complementary bill to raise the salaries of Alesp servers by 7%, as well as the bonuses to them-a kind of bonus for performance. The proposal includes repaying, retroactively, the amounts since March 1 this year.
The percentage is exceeding 5.32% inflation in the last 12 months of the IPCA (National Consumer Price Index), an official federal government inflation indicator. According to the Board of Directors, the money for the increase will come from the budget of the assembly itself, which is $ 1.4 billion.
In a statement, Alesp stated that the proposal “guarantees the replacement of inflation to the civil service, as agreed in negotiation with the union of the category”.
Last month, the Assembly approved a lower increase of 5%to state servants, including police and education professionals.
Initially, a proposal was in the House to expand the governor’s (Republicans) and his secretaries at 9.67% at the request of the Bandeirantes Palace himself, according to the Sheetto maintain the same index granted to the São Paulo civil service, which complained about the readjustment below inflation, and to avoid political wear to the government.
The readjustment to Alesp employees was proposed by the presidency only one year after the assembly increased by 6.59% the salaries of the servers. In the project on the new increase, the Board of Directors argues that it aims to ensure greater “clarity and legal certainty”, as well as “recognize and value the performance of servers”.
The proposal also includes a new bonus to servers crowded in the health care division to the server, with the monthly amount of R $ 7,704. The text provides that the benefit can only be granted to a maximum of four servers and says that it was proposed “because of its complexity and relevance, as well as the broad responsibility before the oversee bodies of the regulated professions of the servers that are crowded in that division.”
Internally, employees heard by the report understand that the proposal is a nod of André do Prado to the legislature servants while seeking to be enabling, or even the governor, in 2026, if the chief executive applies to the presidency.
Tarcisio, however, stands as a pre-candidate for reelection in the midst of the uncertainty about who will be the name of the right to the Planalto Palace in the face of the ineligibility of (PL).
André, aired on open TV since last month, alongside Tarcisio, who is not even affiliated with the party. In the video, the deputy lists several actions of the state government and says that São Paulo has advanced “because the PL makes a difference.” The governor’s presence in the play was seen by his surroundings as an indication of his support to André’s name for any scenario in 2026.
The project of the increase to the servers will be analyzed and voted by the Alesp deputies. If approved, it will go to the governor’s sanction.
