A new wave of heat will reach mainland Portugal from this Friday, extending throughout the next week. According to the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the heat will be progressive and will bring with it tropical nights. There are districts where the temperature will be around 40 degrees or until it exceeds them.
