The National Union of National Regulation Agencies (Significances) sent a letter to the President of, (Union-AP), expressing concern with the damming of the approval processes of directors of these bodies by the House.
According to the union, which represents workers from 11 agencies, paralysis has generated “serious impacts on governance and operationalization” of regulatory instances.
At the moment there are 17 names pending appreciation for the Senate, some for many months. Behind the scenes, senators say that alcohubre paralyzed the process to force the Lula government to indicate names more linked to it.
The letter cites the example of (National Electric Energy Agency), in which the vacancy of a board for more than 230 days resulted in the stoppage of 23 administrative proceedings.
Similar situations have occurred at ANM (National Mining Agency), ANS (National Health Agency) and (National Telecommunications Agency), among others.
“The continuity of this omission compromises the quality of regulation, slows strategic decisions for the country and weakens the effectiveness of public policies,” says the letter of the entity.
The synagencies calls for Alcolumbre to schedule the pending sabbaths. “It is an urgent measure to ensure the proper functioning of regulatory agencies and, above all, the protection of the interests of Brazilian society,” he says.
