He described it as the current attacks on nuclear facilities, ballistic missiles and military commanders.

The spread of nuclear weapons and, more generally, the dissemination of nuclear technology and knowledge that could be used for military purposes is controlled by the Nuclear Weapons Non -Dissemination Treaty (NPT). The treaty recognizes five nuclear forces: the US, the United Kingdom, Russia, China and France.

  • Natanz: One of Iran’s main uranium enrichment complexes is located in a plain next to mountains outside the Sacred city of Shiite Muslims Qom, south of Tehran. Natanz houses facilities including two enrichment plants: the huge, underground fuel enrichment plant and the underground pilot fuel enrichment plant. It was revealed in 2002 that Iran was secretly building the facility, which is said to be three floors below the ground – questioning how successful an Israeli blow could be.

  • Fordo: Another enrichment space can be found in Fordo – which is extremely well protected, as it is believed to be dug on the side of a mountain.
  • Isfahan: Iran’s second largest city hosts a large center of nuclear technology, which includes a fuel plate manufacturing plant and a uranium conversion facility. In Isfahan there is equipment for the construction of uranium metal, a process that is particularly sensitive to dissemination, as it can be used to create the nucleus of a nuclear bomb.

  • Hondab: Hondab is a partially constructed heavy water research reactor. They are a risk of spreading nuclear weapons because they can produce plutonium, which, like the enriched uranium, can be used to build the core of an atomic bomb. Iran has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency that it plans to launch the reactor in 2026, while in a previous 2015 agreement the reactor’s core was removed and filled with concrete to become useless.
Tehran: Iran’s nuclear research facilities in the capital of Tehran include a research reactor.
  • Buzzer: The only Iranian nuclear power plant is located in the Busher area on the Gulf Coast. The installation uses Russian fuels which Moscow then takes back when consumed, thereby reducing the risk of spreading.
