A 23 -year -old man lost his life on Friday night after suffering an electrocution with a generator set in the municipality of Merindad de Río Ubierna (1,415 inhabitants, Burgos), sources from the 112 Emergency Service of Castilla y León have reported this Saturday.
A person called 112 shortly before 11:45 p.m. and requested assistance for a young man who had been unconscious after receiving an electric shock from a generator set inside a windmill, in a wind farm in the town of Quintanilla Abreierra, in the municipality of Merindad de Río Ubierna.
The alert explained that the young man, who was part of an camping group, was inside the mill, whose door, because of the incident, had been blocked and could not be opened.
The 112 warned from this incident to the firefighters of Burgos, the Civil Guard (COS) of Burgos and the Emergency Coordinating Center (CCU) of Sanitary Emergencies-Sacyl, from which a mobile UVI was sent.
In the place, and after accessing the interior of the mill, the emergency agencies confirmed the death of the young man.
